Speaking of GT Spirit models...here is a 944 convertible...
A relative new comer to the 1:18 world that we've been seeing on the board lately is GT Spirit and their resin line of Porsche models.
I had an opportunity to photograph and review this 944 convertible release recently.
Rusty has thoroughly reviewed these models so I won't reiterate what you've already read about them. The GT Spirit line is certainly a quality model line with great execution and subject matter for Porsche aficionados. This particular model is also well built and has a nice weight to it. It is a static resin model with rotating wheels and a fixed open top. The finish is smooth and glossy and the decals are sharp and applied with perfection. The body is well proportioned and I think they captured the overall look and feel of the prototype. The interior is nicely done for an open top model. This appears to be consistent with review photos I've seen from other models. The 944 wheels certainly bring a lot of depth to the model with just the right sheen to them to contrast agains the red finish. A nice feature that isn't part of the model itself is the felt-backed display base that accompanies the model. Well, enough about what I think, please enjoy some photos of this release below...
