@monteverde802 Yep, that's the one..... and yes, that all makes sense.    I seem to recall you once posted a "vintage-like"  pic of that car, parked on the left, near a railroad track.....  🤔 🤔 🤔

Most of the SunStar diecast replicas have been excellent, so the single problem or error I mentioned was unusual and they took care of the problem very quickly. But that is where the supposed "Rule of Fifteen" could enter into it. Someone may tell a number of people or an on-line forum with many members about an issue or problem with a replica car, but they are perhaps much less likely to remark about a good or expected satisfactory experience with their diecast automobile model.

Again, YOU are very lucky.....very lucky indeed!    😮 😉 😮

And yes, I understand "rule of 15,"  a merchant/service concept going back to the dawn of man.   "Make one customer happy, he'll tell a few folks but piss off that same customer and he'll likely tell 100 folks!"

But as I noted, I can personally attest to SS's poor assembly quality despite buying "NIB"  models; add that to what I read online, what I've heard in person, and, well....  🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄

I guess I got lucky with the Horch 855 by SS, for it is one of my favorites and is in excellent condition.

@chris Sure is, Chris. One minor difference I noticed is that model call out on the front fender of you car (Monterey) is correct, while it's incorrect (Montclair) on the Truelove car..

@monteverde802 YOU are correct; Sun Star goofed it.     Keen eye, Mr. Spy!     🧐 👍
