(PICS) Well Paul, I love the model but you'll recall I fixed many errors....
1) I narrowed both F & R wheel tracks; they were just too wide. Looking down the side of the model revealed horrible looking "pushed to the fenders" wheels...totally wrong for ANY 1950's car!
2) I thinned out those OVERSIZED whitewalls and lowered the rear a bit.
3) A few other things I forgot now (it was years ago!) LOL
4) The door emblems (which are wrong) I could NOT fix.
5) The mis-match door color (on copper cars only) also could NOT be remedied.
On the plus side...there much to love! Especially that photo-etched grill. I highly recommend this model!

Good job Chris! I thought there was something up with the w.w. as they appear ok on the '59 Olds.

Thanks, yeah for some reason SS wanted "1949 size" whitewalls on a 1959 car. Easy fix though.

The faded, 20 year old paint job may be a deal killer.
Whether intentionally or accidently, Sunstar gave this beautiful Bonny a faded, depressingly dull paint job that would have looked realistic on a car that had been sitting outside for the last 20 years. There was quite a "spirited" discussion on this forum over the merits or demerits of this highly unusual paint job. Paul, it's a beautiful car but to get it right you'll have to hand polish the entire car - and watch out for those photo etched emblems and script. OH, and make sure to repaint those vertical black lines on the rear panel just under the trunk lid; they should be body color, not black.
