Gavin's latest pic reminded me I never finished the Jaguar models. This 2015 XKR-S hatchback coupe shown in, of all things, French Racing Blue (I didn't pick the color) is a monster little muscle car. Powered by a supercharged 550 hp 5.0 liter V8, it's quicker and more potent than the supercar XJ220 of the 90s. Limited to 186mph, Car & Driver clocked a 0-60 at 4.0 seconds. The "S" model has 40 more hp than the XKR and, for that, you'll pay an extra $35,000 to $132,875. That price, to be fair, includes suspension, aerodynamic, drivetrain and interior upgrades. The styling has just a touch of XK styling cues from the past, but makes me yearn for the design genius of the late Malcolm Sayer. Ironically, to "celebrate its racing heritage" This model is offered in only Italian Racing Red and French Racing Blue. Did anyone even consider British Racing Green???
Yes, great car but we do miss the designs of Malcolm Sayer. French and Italian colours but none for the Brits. Sacrilege! Thanks Rich.
Love the styling on this gen XK...it looks especially good in this French Racing Blue, though the Italian Racing Red is very nice too. Great pics, Rich!
