In 2009, Nissan introduced their new GT-R (R35) 2+2 sports coupe. Now powered by a 480 HP twin-turbo 3.8 liter V6 mated to a 6 speed dual clutch transmission with all that power applied to all 4 wheels, its top speed was electronically limited to 193 mph with a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds. The potential of that engine is unbelievable with 1000 to 2000 HP possible where in under 3 seconds, you could go from 100 to 200 mph in under 3 seconds! With an MSRP of around $70,000, you certainly get your money's worth in performance. Stopping power comes from 15" cross ventilated rotors with 6 piston Brembos in the front and 4 in the rear. A 7" multi-function display can provide all the telemetry necessary to make the car track ready yet also provide all the family friendly comforts you could want (as long as you have 2 small kids to seat in the rear). One thing I found interesting is while hood only has a hook prop, the trunk lid is supported by a 3 strut hydraulic assisted hinge system. Did that help in weight transfer to the rear?

IMO, no.... all those supports were needed to ensure the trunk could open safely and smoothly; I doubt "stability" was ever a consideration. But again, it's just my opinion. I've seen other cars with "busy" truck hinge-support systems.
I’m thinking that maybe Nissan shaved some weight by eliminating valve stems just like AutoArt did. Sorry 🙁 I couldn’t resist this time.
