Enrico Nardo is not only known for his iconic steering wheel ( which will set you back 4 figures). For the infamous 1955 Le Mans 24 Hours, he entered the Nardi Bisiluro (twin torpedo) DaMolNar car that was powered by a tiny 0.7 liter Fiat 4 that was supertuned by an Abarth rival, Gianni, to produce a whopping 62 hp. During that race, it was averaging 89 mph when the side draft of a passing Jaguar blew the car off the course and turned a potential class winner into a DNF. The car was ultimately restored and now resides in the Leonardo DaVinci (another exotic designer) Museum of Science and Technology in Milan.
