VIDEO...A 5000 car collection....
...in Thailand. Sorry. No English translation, but I think the video speaks for itself.
Incredible!
My goodness! Another reason to like Thailand!
OK ... Who here has 5,000 car Collection ???? ... or close to?
Bob Jackman and Dave Hosea. Here's Bob's collection...
You should see the royal car collection........
I lived in Bangkok for almost 3 years and I used to get my old '55 Plymouth repaired in the same shop that kept the royal's cars in top condition. That was the first time I ever saw the prewar beauties of Delahaye, Delage, Duesenberg or Rolls. The first royal car was a 1904 Mercedes.
The King's motorcade consisted of 3 identical vintage yellow Rolls and you never knew which one he was in until he disembarked. Now the Rolls are mothballed and replaced with yellow Maybach 62s.
I did ... very impressive collection.
I thought Bob Jackman would be a contenter
Thank you, Gene. The most amazing thing is that the collection appears current!
Hi guys. Just got in from a 1/1 car show. The models now exceed 5,400 pieces as the MPB show was done over four years ago. Any of you that might ever be in the Jackson, Mississippi area are more than welcome to see the collection as every model is on display. There's always the chance that we might also take the full sized cars out for a spin as well. The fun in collecting is sharing our common addiction with each other. Hey Marlowe, the T-Bird Roadster is still waiting for you to take it for a drive.
Very Cool update indeed ... I'll keep Miss in mind
Incredible cars and displays, Bob. Automotive dreamland !
Bob Jackman, you have one very impressive collection. You have every right to be proud!
In the video, your wife made a comment that she had a retired psychiatrist friend who said that if people had more hobbies, she'd have had fewer patients.
I totally relate to that comment, as I've said many times over the years that a person with a hobby, is a happy person. And I totally agree, everyone needs a hobby, a passion that drives them every day to enjoyment.
Thanks for sharing your great collection Bob! And one bit of advice, don't ever stop collecting.

Thanks guys for your positive comments. This hobby really attracts terrific and knowledgeable people who not only know about model cars but 1/1 scale as well. When groups tour our collections they always thank Lori and I for letting them see my cars and her miniatures and I always thank them for coming as it wouldn't be half as much fun collecting if no one wanted to see them. Again, the invitation is out to all D4C members.
Same goes for here in Issaquah, WA I'm running out of room, King County would not approve a New
Heated Barn. I was going to build one 40 feet X 60 Feet with a upstairs so we could put the Car & Barbie Collections up stairs with storage for 8 1:1 cars below on Ground floor. Would have been cool, now I have to find an alternative as they say no more building on this acre of ground. Judy has been looking at new houses but I designed this as well as Built this house so I frankly don't feel like moving. Someday I will get Collection Pix and post. Jerry Gorsuch Graciously did post many of the pix (26 Cases)for me a couple of years ago, Thank You Again Jerry! Bob is correct about having too many 1:1 Cars too all part of Loving Automobiles for a lifetime.
