Thank you, John!

Those Delahaye pics are magnificent!!

I, too, am still awaiting a TRULY AWESOME 1:18 Delahaye to arrive!

a 1939 version of ANY of the following cars would do for me:

Bugatti Type 57

Delage

Talbot Lago

Delahaye

I agree whole heartedly with what you said about both the Guiloy and Signature Delahayes. They lack the grace and beauty of the Delahaye pics you posted.

I will remain hopeful that, someday, SOMEONE will make a really fine version of one of the above cars.

This is in the TOP THREE of cars I still want badly!

Also, we need MORE brass era automobiles!!

FANTASTIC John, I couldn't agree more. Those French cars are absolutely gorgeous.

french curves and brass

You've got my vote. The pictured cars are one of the few styling examples of going "over the top" with grace. Brass era selections seem to be missing from all three scales with a few beautiful starts by FM in 1/24 but nothing recent. I'd also opt for a high end manufacturer to take these one. I've always liked CMC but they are out of my range. I wonder if Sun Star might be talked into something?

French Curves

You have hit the nail on the head John. Its nice to hear that other collectors feel the same way as I-that these French "works of art" have been neglected by the diecast manufacturers and deserve attention.I recall a while back on this forum, that someone asked the question if CMC were to manufacture a Duesenberg,if there would be interest?I never heard anything further.Maybe more of us should be more vocal,to let the manufacurers know that WE WANT THESE CARS.Thanks JOHN.
