Well, it's a real little GTO. 30 odd years ago, it was hard to find licensed Ferrari models and Bburago was basically it. I enjoyed their models in kit form with the livery in these magnificent Cartograf decals. here's the 1984 to 1987 288 GTO in Pioneer livery along with the road car. If anyone is interested, I can post a bunch of Ferraris. These models are not known for their content but have great bones, so, with some paint and patience, they can look pretty cool. Forgive the poor photography as the pics are as old as the models.
Those look great Rich. A big thank you for sharing them with us.💯😎
One of my very favorite Ferrari's - the GTO. First the GTO 250 and then this, the 288 GTO. LOVE em!
And your pics do them the justice they deserve.
Now, the song. Little GTO was done by Ronnie & The Daytona's and was about the Pontiac GTO. But it's OK, I guess because the song was Enzo Ferrari's favorite song for years. He was heard, frequently, singing it in the halls of Maranello.
That Bburago looks impressive in both forms after 30 years. Thanks Rich. I still have the standard red one.
The 288GTO is one of my favorite all-time Ferraris ! Thanks for all those pics. Steve
