Firstly this is Model T rod I completed a few months back that came as a genuine 2 in 1 with the Model T stock coupe. Left if for a while before having a go at it, and I was quite pleased with the result. So I thought I'd have a go at another rod.

Sorry about the display case pics but it's really delicate.

Now while I enjoy trying to recreate correct period colors on the kit models, with the rods there is a lot more license to choose my own colors. Revell made 4 suggestions, as well as including a variety of other parts to use. I've used Tamiya Pearl Light Blue for the exterior and a Krylon cream/off white interior paint. I'm really quite pleased with the result. It will fit in well in my rod/custom display case.

Firstly no need to glue the roof and windows on to enable a good view of the interior.

Then with the 'top half' on but without the sunroof.

And then with all top half parts in place.

And finally my rod and custom display case to this point.

caase

TERRIFIC!  I built a lot of the same type of models many years ago. Yours came out WAY better! Nice of you to share these with us all Geoff!

Geoff, you build some really nice models.  I have the t-bucket sitting in my office to build. Just haven't gotten to it yet.  I've built 5 models in the last 6 weeks, one is a 69 Chevelle, but it was missing a taillight, so I am waiting on the replacement from the manufacturer.  Currently working on a 37 Ford Panel Delivery, that I am modifying.

Excellent work Geoff!  I enjoy seeing your latest creations.  The T reminds me of Kookie's car.

@carsman1958 Wow John, 5 models in 6 weeks, now thats productive. Must thank you for the Krylon paint suggestion. They are the best, spray on evenly and they seem to have a thicker consistency meaning less coats. My pics dont pick it up but you can still see the texture on the seats. Problem is they are very hard to find here in Melbourne or even Australia. I've found one supplier a few suburbs away but they only have a limited color range, but I'll make the most of what they have.
