Purchased used so not a 10 out of 10 version for sure.

I wonder what it cost GM to make the jump from the 57 style to the 59 ?  I find the 58 to be ugly. OK, guys don’t jump all over me. It’s just my HO.

@100ford2003 It’s a good thing for you that I’m physically unable to jump, Danbury’s ‘58 Impalas are beautiful creatures, as are the 1/1’s. 9 out of 10 discriminating gentleman agree with my humble opinion! (OK, I made that last part up, but it could happen!)

@kevins One of my lifelong friends had a black 1:1 when I met him, soooooo many years ago.  Great car.

@modeldadeeee   It doesn't take a lot of effort, if you use the right products.  @chris turned me onto the NOVUS products and I bought the set of three, which turned my Hispano Suiza from a dusty bird to a rather lovely swan.  I now use the Clean & Shine on all new arrivals and the scratch remover did one helluva good job on the Swept Tail RR.  Trust me, it will make a huge difference in your '58.

Don't feel bad guys, I know I'm definitely in the minority as I love all the '58 GM cars, the designs to me are so crazy they're cool. I really do, especially like the '58 Buicks. I had an uncle who had a '58 Roadmaster when I was a kid, I was fascinated with that big ol' tank. I used to absolutely hate the '58 Oldsmobiles, but have become rather fond of them over time. See, told ya I was a little wacky. Hell, maybe a lot wacky, lol.🤣😂💯😁

The only '58 Impala I have is this one. I know it's not perfect either, but it does look more correct to me. I chose it over the DM because it doesn't have the droopy butt. I was hoping DM would correct it on later releases, but to no avail. I know they had made corrections on other models mid run, but this one may have been too costly to do.😊

@modeldadeeee I love 58 Impalas and owned a 1/1 hardtop and every model I could find in any scale. My 1/1 was allover white with a black/ silver/ turquoise interior, continental kit, dual antennas, skirts, spinner wheel covers, 348 four barrel motor, powerglide and power stearing. I regret selling the car but you can't keep them all, at least in 1/1 scale.
