When Chrysler unveiled their "Forward Look" designs in 1957, Pontiac was due for a full design change in '59, so the stylists and marketing people came up with the "Wide-Track" concept giving Pontiac a whole different look. The widening of the track and lack of fins to alter the flattened body, the cars were as far from the Chrysler format as they could get. This Danbury Mint model of the top-of-the-line Bonneville really captures the look.
That's a really nice Pontiac model.
I prefer it not to have the rear tire skirts but that's just me.

@charles-rockett Artistic license and boy did they ever. They took an already wide car and made it wider.
Rich, your photos are incredible! This model, in my opinion, is one of DM's best of their last releases. I'm not a fan of white cars, but the white on the one pops! My only disappointment has always been that we didn't get this one, that was on the drawing board when DM could no longer produce models.

What a great car and model ! When I was a kid, I had a 1/25 promo of this sensational wide-track Pontiac and today a 1/18 SunStar.
