It took me years to get over the fact that Thunderbirds were no longer two-seaters. I thought the "square birds" were horrible and the "bullet birds" uninspiring (although I did like that Sports Roadster option). This 4th generation Thunderbird just looked both elegant and sporty. Danbury Mint did a great job on this model. This pale blue would not have been my color choice but the model really captured the 1:1 with great precision.

Wonderful pictures of a wonderful model including the period correct optional red line/ whitewall tires. I'm still lamenting the fact that the 63 Sports Roadster was not made.

Having owned a 1:1 for about 10 years I can attest that DM did a spectacular job replicating this car in 1:24 scale!   They got every nuance right.  It’s truly a shrunken down 1:1 car IMO.

It's one of DM's best efforts.  The model is flat-out fine!  As usual, your photos are fabulous and captured the beauty of this miniature.
