John Merritt's pics of the Hispano-Suiza reminded me of one of the quirkiest models in my stable: the 1925 Hispano-Suiza H6B Kellner with its all white balloon tires and twin search lights on poles. The H6B platform first utilized the "La Cigogne Volante" or "Flying Stork" radiator emblem which was the insignia of Captain Georges Guynemer's Hispano-Suiza powered Spad fighters in WWll. The cars were designed by the Swiss engineer Marc Birkigt who was behind those H-S V12 powered aircraft. The H6Bs were built in France and the coachwork was by Kellner of Paris.
This is an older Franklin Mint model so engine and dash are fairly lacking in detail but the exterior and finish are very nicely done. I love it for the tires alone... so cool!
