This 1995 Ferrari F50 spyder was sponsored by Italian fashion house "Mandarina Duck" and was sent to Germany's RUF Automotive for race preparation and then went half way around the world to a Hong Kong based race team to be driven at the treacherous Guia Race of Macau driven by Charles Kwan Siu-Cheong. It not only survived Macau's winding streets but place #1 overall.
This model is another Bburago kit build that was a lot of fun to assemble , paint and add the proper Cartograf livery waterslides. I know few here care about foreign race cars but I thought you night like to see this unusual piece.
I'm not in to foreign makes in general, but that is a beautiful model Rich. You done a fantastic job on it. Thanks as always. I enjoy you models and posts whether they're foreign or domestic.💯😎
The F50 isn’t a Ferrari that I care for at all but I do like and respect your model build Rich. Thanks for your pics.
@100ford2003 I was expecting your comment. I respect it and you're certainly not alone. I got the same opinions when I posted a huge 1/12 Tamiya I have. Obviously, I love the damned thing but I sure appear to be in the minority. LOL
And that’s exactly why I think we all have a great time on these Forums 👍

Nice looking model and nice pictures. Do you know why chosen name was mandarin duck?

I've just counted 32 foreign race cars in my collection. May have missed a couple.
4 1/43 LeMans cars.
4 1/18s
And the rest are 1/24, just a sample
Edicola/IXO et al are producing a series of old Ferrari open wheel racers at about a rate of one a month. Don't have space for them all, here's just a sample of one. Old open wheel racers, the older the better, are one of my favorite car 'genres'.
My heart is in foreign cars and has been since I was a kid, which is why my daily driver is a Benz. Someday, I hope to up it to an older T2 Bentley. Excellent post, RS. I actually like that Ferarri model and kudos for having steady hands and finishing it.
