I think I like that color combo the best of all the DM Mercs.
Excellent pics!
Great photos. Missed this one. Don't know how.
Have it, love it! The '57 Mercury was back then, and still is today, a car that can't help but be noticed. It was different! It was outer space looking and and had the gadgets and gimmicks to back it up.
Some people liked it and others hated it, there didn't seem to be a middle ground. As we look back on it today, no doubt it has stood the test of time that exemplifies how outlandish the Fifties cars had become. It just got in your face!
ME? I have forever thought it was a machine of absolute beauty! I was over the top excited when Danbury Mint announced this model and I remember running to the phone to order it.
It is/was everything I'd have hoped for in a model. Precise replication to the smallest detail and the color was period correct. Still one of my personal favorites on my self and it draws attention a lot.
Great pics John! For those that missed this little baby, you should be bending over and kicking yourself.
And if you can find it on the secondary market, grab it. It's a piece of automotive history for sure!

I love it, I missed it though. I have often thought of getting it and removing the 'roid.😊
