A look back at a model from Franklin Mint. It was issued in 2004 and is a Limited Edition, #217 of 750. Originally issued as a 3-car set. As some point, they were sold separately and that is when I got this one. I always meant to go after the two releases but never did.
There is always some discussion about the roof on these, and FMs other hardtop, not being quite right. No matter, I don't think it distracts from the beauty of the models. This one is a striking color combination of Dusk Plum & Dawn Gray.

I have one. Just love the color combination!
Kudos to whomever suggested that color combo 👍
I have the three car set which also included the black Nomad and the convertible but can't remember if it was the green/white or light blue/white.
It must be the blue-white, FM issued a green-white as a standard release. I have that one.

I remember seeing this "3 Car Set" from FM. I never got the set or this one individually. Totally agree about the striking color combo, I really Like it. Also agree that FM's Chevy's were "off" on the top compared to the DM versions that got the top right. I have the "yellow/black" FM hardtop and that too, is a very striking color combo.

Trying to recall; I want to say that Brian Dunning was behind this but it could have just as well been Mint Models or another dealer.
I like it because they done away with the skirts as well.👍
