Thanks for making this a Jaguar day Tony. Love the XK120 in any colour.
Heres another 1/24 Jag, a Mark II. Produced from 1959 to 1967. Very popular here in Australia throughout the 60s, in fact I seriously considered buying used one around 1970 but was put off by high maintenance cost. Beautiful car. This is a a now very cheap Hachette, Whitebox et al version, plentiful and you can find them for around $15-$20 on the Euro ebays. Couple of other colors available now too. Nice proportions, no opening features and very stark dash but still displays well with the other Jags. I wish FM or DM had done their version in white to give us a greater color contrast.
Here is my 1/24 Scale SMALL WHEELS (By Western Models) Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe. This is a heavy white metal model.
The Jaguar XK150 was produced between 1957 and 1961 as the successor to the XK140. The XK150 bore a family resemblance to the XK120 and XK140 but was radically revised. Most visibly, a one-piece windscreen replaced the split screen, and the wing line carried higher and more streamlined at the doors. The widened bonnet opened down to the wings.
@david-green David; I love this Jaguar line and my favorite is the 140. Between it and the first XKE that is about as beautiful as it gets. The '63 thru '67 Vette is its American equivalent for looks IMHO.
@david-green thats a real beauty David, Lu and Chav have a few of these and posted them early on in Lus great Unique post.
