Alfa Romeo built a dozen or so long wheel based chassis with racing in mind. This red spyder was one of 7 built bodied by Touring of Italy employing their "Superleggera" (light weight) construction techniques. The 8C 2900B chassis were all powered by a twin Roots-Type supercharged inline 8. Within the same year Touring was also commissioned to provide fully enclosed berlinetta bodies. All but one of the spyders, although provided with a soft top had no side windows. The last pictures are of a one-off Le Mans racer also built by Touring (shown in 1/18).
Very nice and quite swoopy (and aerodynamic !) Who does this car in this scale ?
@karl The spyder is FM, The berlinetta is White Box. The Me Mans car is CMC.
Excellent. I have them both in my collection. Great photos Rich, thanks for sharing.
