For me, the most elegant personal luxury car designs of the sixties were GM's 2nd gen Buick Riviera, the 1st gen ('66) Oldsmobile Toronado and this 1968 Cadillac Eldorado. These long hood / short deck designs were simple, graceful and elegant.

IMHO, the '66 Riviera is one of the most beautiful Buick's ever !
I do prefer the '63 & '64 over the '65. I don't like the clamshell headlights.

Those are gorgeous Rich, my personal favorites were the mid-60's and '69-72 Grand Prix's. I've owned several and can attest to their stature. Well built and solid cars that served me well. I wish I would have kept this one.

A Pontiac that set styling cues, especially with its canted cockpit inspired dash.

Yep, me too !!! IMO, exquisitely designed !
Not a single misplaced line !! That roofline was so elegant...and the front end design along with the rear was over the top for a kid my age !!
