I was bitten by the Bugatti bug and sidetracked, for a bit. Now, we're back on track, with the arrival of a 1907 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, by Franklin Mint. I only needed a model in great condition and the original packaging wasn't important, as I plan to use this model in a diorama and as long as it could travel one day to me intact I would be fine. Luck was with me and the seller is an ace at packing, so only the windshield was partially loose and fixed in less than two seconds. For the price of this model I made the right choice by walking away from the one I was attempting to procure. I knew there were no tools in the running boards, but the price of a model with all of that intact would have been four times what I paid for this one, and even those models had issues.
@perrone1 It is a remarkable machine and here is one that is legend. The owner fell in love with a Bugatti Royale Coupe de Ville and traded this car for it. Yeah, I know. I do like Bugattis, but there is a limit. This one is the 1932 Rolls Royce Phantom II Berline, bodied by Figoni & Falaschi:
@perrone1 Yes, I would use it, also. What would be the point of owning such a thing and not enjoying it? Although, Chubb might have a group heart attack when the agent sees you out and about.
