Here ya go buddy. Like I said, the GSX isnt as fully detailed as the others. Its about 25 years old and my first model build after being out of model building for over 20 years. And a quickie event build.😊
Geoff, this is also from the same kit, I just chopped the roof off. Shows you how much I like it. I'm on my 3rd. Also, if you decide to get it. Get the newest version. It has a WAY better, more extensive decal set.🙂
This spoiler design is my favorite by far, with the downturn of the ends meeting the body. The wrap around body length striping really adds to the racy effect.
Geno: Those Buicks are really nice. Especially the GSX.
@jack-dodds I agree Jack. Same with the '69 Judge and Trans Am. My understanding was GM moved away from those designs because of people getting fingers pinched in between when closing the trunk.
hey thanks Geno, they are awesome! Truly look like mint models. Paintwork is outstanding, along with interior and engine detail.
This appears to be the latest version available here. I wont order on ebay just yet, I'll wait until I've checked out a couple of the busiest hobby shops that are likely to have latest stock.
Much appreciated, thanks again
PS Is that bare metal foil on the window door trim etc? I've watched a couple of application videos and I'm thinking of having a practice go on the 67 Impala I painted the wrong color! The final cut is the crucial point that worries me!
@geoff-jowett Geoff, you are most certainly welcome. The pic you posted is the newest version. I did use BMF on all the trim. Once it's applied, I burnish it with a Q-tip. It really helps it pop, almost like chrome. But I done the same thing, I practiced with a spare body. It's pretty easy to get the hang of and a lot easier and more realistic than paint. What's really nice is if you mess up, peel it off and redo it. Not so easy with painting trim, lol. Hope that helps. If I can do it, you can do it.😊
Nice looking models. Couple of questions. Where those decals on the fan shroad and how do you do the fine details on dash instrament panel.

thanks Geno, I'll buy some in the next week or so and give it a go. Appreciate your support
@grockwood Grock, the decals came with the kit. As far as the dash trim, I generally us a #000 brush and wear my magnifiers for painting the fine details. On this one, the trim, etc, around the instrument cluster is actually a photo etched piece. I painted the whole thing black, then I take an 8000 grit wet sanding cloth to it lightly to clean the paint off of the raised detail. I clear it so it stays shiny, then glue it into place. I hope that explains it well enough. 😊
