I am no Corvette expert, but I do believe some Corvettes came factory with knock-off hubcaps (pics)

Sooo ... I took the rims / tires off the D/M Black '63
And I installed them onto the D/M Silver Blue 'Vert '63
Actually a fairly easy swap ... ( sorta - kinda )

There are @ least 3 projects that will involves @ least 4 more donor cars

No brainer ... at least not for me anyway
To me ... This was easy ... Because you see ...
I've been pondering this modification for some time
... so I finally got off my lazy bum & decided it was time to buy a few donor cars and make my dreams come true

If yall are interested...
I like the conversion! From 1963 though 1966 Corvette offered true, knock off wheels (option P48) in place of the stock wheel covers. The first year knock offs were problematic, and only 12 were sold before GM pulled the option for that year. There is some debate as to whether those twelve were ever delivered, or recalled. The issues were addressed and they sold 806 in '64, 1,116 in '65, and 1,194 in '66. Those mid-year Corvettes with the OEM knock offs are extremely rare, and the wheels alone can add as much as $10K to the value. There are repros of the knock offs that can be mounted to the five bolt wheels. After '66, similar looking cast finned wheels were offered.
