This 6 cylinder, front wheel drive 4 door saloon was introduced in 1938 and was produced until 1956. The stripped down "legere" or light weight model was raced in rally competitions with this model in 1952 Monte Carlo livery. This is another 1/24 Bburago kit build requiring a lot of Bare Metal Foil for the fender gravel guards, exhaust extension and hardware. The seats were upholstered in white glue soaked tissue paper and some painting including black washing of the grill. This model sits on fat Michelin tires. Michelin owned Citroen after its bankruptcy in 1934 with the tire company being its largest creditor and they used Citroen as their test bed for tire design. I'm not sure how well this car fared in rally racing as its top speed was only 73 mph.
Very nicely done Rich. Thanks for posting. I really like this version and yours looks fantastic. I have several variations of Traction Avant in 1/43. I actually got to drive a full sized one in Paris in 1962.
