There two MOPARs in the early 1960s that I just loved. The 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury and the one year 1965 Satellite which I owned. The Satellites finally came through in 1/18, in stock, drag and Altered Wheel Base. As to the '64 Sport Fury, this Petty Belvedere was all I've ever found. Being a numbered edition of only 807 units, I was hoping they might do something else with the tooling, but I guess not. For some reason I don't have any pics of the spartan interior, but it bears no resemblance to the stock configuration. This Hemi powered Belvedere was the first Hemi to run NASCAR with the factory cars placing a ridiculous 1,2,3 and 5 at Daytona with this #43 car taking 1st. As a result, the Hemi engine was banned the following year.

For a low cost model, it's pretty nice:

Great read Rich. I love this bodystyle. I would have been all over one of these in stock form. Thanks again.💯👍

Rich I agree. I've always been a fan of the 64 Sport Fury. I have the Autoworld Petty and a Greenlight 1/64 Fury. I believe this 1/25 my Dad built is a Johan model. The Johans I  found on Ebay run around $500.

Rich,  I did find these from AMT at a better price.  Very close to the Sport Fury.
