DM 48 Chevy.....................
for who may be interested, I posted a very short review of the model.
Saw your review, no trans. lines as Powerglide was not offered until 1950 model year.
I know FM's 56 Chevy BelAir had standard transmission with no clutch pedal..so I put one in LOL
With the rising cost of manufacture, sacrifices have to be made to keep the costs down. I'd rather see the under-carriage go basic and keep the detail and quality on the exterior. I don't display my cars upside down. Even some cuts in the interior would be acceptable to me. And DM did not disappoint me in the least with this model.....
+ 1 .
Ah come on Jerry, seriously...
Ya don't display any upside down? Lol
Na really, I think your points are spot on
PIC - OH, WAIT.... Maybe I do..... :<)) ......
My shelf space saving technique........
photo no longer available
LOL Jerry...you're "upside down" car reminds of the TV show "The Green Hornet" where the Hornets "Black Beauty" was clamped upside down in the garage, while Brit Reid's 1966 Imperial convetible was on top.

I don't think it would cost much........................
to install a couple of brake lines to bring some realism to the undercarriage no matter I don't either display my models upside down.
Contrary to the majority here, I would rather pay more to have additional details where they are now gone and bring back the standard of excellence to the level of the 48 Buicks just to give an example.
What is strange......you guys are willing to pay in the $300-$400 and even more for a resin model with no features at all when DM could produce something better with all the features to meet the request of the collectors who now have switched to the upper 1/18 scale.
So DM, if you are reading this board, you know that we are ready to pay more for your models. NOBODY will be hurt by a reasonable increase if you bring back the full regalia of operating features we have been accustomed before.
Speak for yourself to DM, not for the rest of us! I don't need the extra parts.
I want the cost to remain where they are right now. If that means plastic under-carriages, then so be it.
I'm just thrilled to beans that DM is back with a NEW model! It has been a long time coming, and I'm not going to nit-pic their offerings after what they've been through in the last year or so.

Some aren't willing to "pay more". I don't want to pay $300 for a 1:24.
I'm thrilled that DM is back in the diecast arena and has given us a brand new quality diecast car in typical DM fashion and execution.
I completely agree.....................
but you pay the same price for less content.
Why it should not make sense to pay five or ten more bucks to bring back the content to what it was five years ago?
What is the common sense to pay "three hundred dollars" for a "PLASTIC" model instead of supporting DM to design and produce the same model with operating features?
Guys,,,,, we are ALL diecast addicts. I cannot understand why we are always fighting on this Board and ONLY this one for our opinions and our right to express them.
Mr. Dube, this reply is totally uncalled for. Why do you slander other people????
His comment was just that, a comment and was not directed at you in any personal manner.....
+1 - totally agree!
That's why he was kicked off of JSS.
