In April 1995, I bought my first diecast, the DM 1953 juniper green Chevy pickup, followed in June by DM's 1935 Ford pickup and in October by their 1965 GTO. I was hooked.

Bob Jackman, is a hero to me. And he seems like such a down to earth guy. His collection is beyond words!
I've got over three hundred in 1:24 and 1:18 scale, and my collection isn't even on the radar compared to Bob's.
LOL, I remember a while back we had this discussion here on the Forum when some poster stated he had a "A large collection of 12 cars", and someone responded to him that "12 isn't a large collection of anything, unless it's kids".

I had the privilege of spending an afternoon with Bob and his lovely wife and saw his collection first hand a few years back. It IS impressive to say the least. Bob is truly the gentleman that he comes across as here. Just down-to-earth good people.
If any of you ever find yourself down around Jackson, Mississippi, I would highly recommend you visit with Don. He also has a handful of 1:1's that you would also enjoy seeing.

I got my first diecast model when I was five, and now nearly 55 years later. I have just about every one I have bought or received as a gift. Over the years, I have sold a couple (14) but bought 9 of them back. So other than those I have every diecast model I have ever gotten. In all scales, I have just under 3,800 with nearly half of them now in 1:43 scale.
