I came across these by accident on ebay. This is the narrative the seller provides for the Chevrolet.
"The product is a 1/24 scale diecast model of a Chevrolet Super Deluxe "Descapotable" car from 1945, manufactured in Cuba. Produced by Franklin Mint, this collectible piece captures the essence of vintage Cuban car culture with its detailed craftsmanship and accurate representation of the classic vehicle make and model."
Does anyone know anything about these FM models? I have never heard of this. However, he is way overpriced for the model cost and shipping.
Doug, be wary. These are Welly models not FM, and can be bought generally inexpensively. Don't bite.💯
@geno Thanks Geno. Yes, after I made the post, I looked again and then assumed they were a cheap knock off. I had no interest anyway, but you have confirmed my suspicions. The seller made me a 50 % off offer! HA! I will decline and submit a nicely worded message about my rejection and what these really are.
@chevelle1967 I don't blame you. I'd let him know too. There are some unscrupulous sellers out there......sadly.😟
