One of my favorite DM models. As you know, I'm a sucker for vintage Pontiacs. But the 'roid had to go. I just don't like 'em. This was my very first ever diecast mod. I'd done plenty of surgeries on plastic kits, but never attempted one on a diecast. I wanted this model bad, but hated the continental kit. To me they just ruin the cohesive design of a car. JMHO though. Nervous is putting it mildly when I did this one......whew!!😁💯
I loved the car and hated its owner. The last time I saw the car (in a beautiful bronze) he was riding off with my girlfriend with a big smile on his face! Great work removing the continental kit.
I have this model and like you I hate the continental kit on almost every car.......but I bought this Pontiac back in the day in spite of that. Yours looks fantastic!

The guy may have done you a favor if a car made her split.

+1.
MOST conny kits -
Thanks guys, I do appreciate it. It was a nail biter, I'm extremely happy with the outcome.😁
thats a huge improvement Geno, well done. Fortunately DM did not add a conny kit to the hardtop, or the hard to find red convertible version.
I bought this model on Ebay 'without the continental kit' the previous owner must have removed it.....
