I'm 70 and I like the cars from around the mid-50s to the early 70s, with the 60s being my favorite era. But I remember my Grandmother only drove Mercurys and the first one I remember her having was a well-optioned 56 Mercury. She still had it up until she died in 1963 and my Mom inherited the car. But my parents sold it for the money they could get for it. Was I ever mad, I loved that car. One of my first cars I owned was a 56 Mercury like the one she owned. Unfortunately I was a starving young guy starting out in life and I too had to sell it for the money. It was a very sad day that I still remember.

I'm 58 and like cars from the mid 50's thru the early 70's. I do like some of the new high performance American cars and have several models of those as well.

Well, to begin with - we're ALL young at heart or we wouldn't be 'here'...

.... to start with! LOL!

OK... I'm '63'....favorite era would be - '50s to about 1972. ( the end of PRE-computerized horsepower )

I guess I got started about 4 - 5 years old too. '2' things happened at about the same time... 1. I discovered the movie 'Thunder Road'; 2. I noticed my Dad's car... a triple black '57 Pontiac Starchief convertible.
Instead of 'hidden headlights', I have a SEVERE attraction to black / dard-colored cars / trucks.... and the shinier the better. My Dad's Starchief is to blame.

I did my plastic model thing until I was old enough to drive. Now, I wouldn't mind trying it again; but, my eyes and hands won't let me. Oh, well.

At 74 I collected late 30's to late 50's however, my interest in cars lasted until they started to de-tune engines around 1971

73, this month. Favorite era is from the 1900's to now.

From 6 years old, when parents gave me a model of the first Corvette (1953), I was hooked on cars. If it has wheels and a motor I like almost every automobile.

I'm 76 and my favorite era is from the early '50s until about 1970. I first noticed cars when I was about 11. It was a '54 Buick Skylark that caught my eye. What a beautiful car. Then my folks bought a '55 coral and grey Chevy Bel Air, which furthered my interest, but the one car that really astonished me was the '56 Continental Mark II. I saw one in downtown Newark, NJ on my way to a radio studio. I immediately fell in love.

I'm 59, my favorites cars are from the 30s, 40s & 50s. But I also collect cars from the 20s, 60s, 70s and beyond. If it has four wheels, I'm interested.
