I think all of us who collect(ed) 1:24 scale diecast models will agree that the Mints overlooked this one. Overwhelmingly it would have been a top-seller.

1953 OLDSMOBILE FIESTA
yes it's a beauty. I went off looking for a 1/24 kit, no luck at this time, maybe there is one hiding out there.
The '53 Olds in 1/24 scale would've definitely been a welcomed addition, unfortunately it didn't happen and probably won't so it's a good thing Brooklin offered one in 1:43.

THANKS John! I was aware of the 1:43 scale version, but I'll never go down that road. I just can't say it enough times, they are TOO SMALL!
George, I agree this is an obvious "miss" by the Mints. It had everything going for it including being a Motorama car.
Sad, that sometimes the obvious is overlooked. They certainly weren't thinking with their collector caps on. They gave us the Corvette, the Eldorado, and the Skylark, so the Fiesta would have (should have) been a no-brainer. Thinking with their collector caps off, brings up a whole other topic, as I don't think the mints were always in tune with what collectors wanted or what would have been logical releases.
