this very early Danbury Mint 1935 Duesenberg SSJ Cabriolet sure has it. This model is from the period of what I call the "Me Too" DM when they basically tried to co-opt Franklin Mint images with less quality and for $10 less. It did offer leather seats, decent painted wire wheels and an attempt to simulate a machined dash with applique gauges. The white walls went yellow and despite even carefully using Bleche-Wite on them, they stayed yellow. I guess I let the rest of the model age out so now I call it a "the barn find Duesenberg".
That's one Duesey of a 'barn find' !!
to paraphrase Stephen King......it is both the tale and he who tells it..........you bring this tin to life Rich
Great pictures Rich. I'm with you as I have never seen this model that the whitewalls didn't turn yellow.
A very nice model. One I added early on to my collection. My whitewalls hadn't turned yellow yet when this model was packed a few years ago. Since it still is, I will need to find it and see what has happened in the last couple of years.
