I can't explain it, but YELLOW has always been my favorite color. I feel a soothing warmth when I see anything YELLOW. It's a calming color for me. My wife won't let me paint anything in our house, because I usually insist on some shade of YELLOW. LOL, It's also a good way to get out of painting.
So it's easy to understand that these YELLOW 1:24 scale diecasts are glaring favorites on my car shelf. Despite loving YELLOW, usually I'd not be drawn to a YELLOW car. But in the Muscle Car era, these 4-4-2's, GTO'S, and HEMI CHALLENGERS were road beauty.

I like yellow too George but primarily on sporty cars.
I also like yellow cars, though none in 1/24 scale. I have three 1/43 scale yellow cars, 1970 Plymouth Barracuda (from Boss), 1970 Buick GSX from (Brooklin/Elmo) and a 1970-1972 Datsun 240Z (from Oxford Diecast). Years ago, I had a 1:1 yellow car, a 1972 Datsun 240Z.

Oh man, I always loved the Buick GSX in yellow. There is a guy who comes to one of summer old car shows that has one, and I could literally just stand and stare at it the whole time he's there.

Yea, I'm with you on the "sporty cars". I'm not sure I'd like the yellow above on a big land yacht Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight, Plymouth Fury III, or Pontiac Bonneville. But on Muscle Cars, yellow just rocks!

I'm a fan of yellow cars as well, but the yellow has to be size appropriate. Muscle looks good in bright yellows, but big luxo-barges favor paler yellows. My former Continental in Willow Gold, which has a slight green tone.

Now that is a nice looking car and color. Looks like a nice neighborhood too.

I agree with you Pete about the paler shades on the luxo-barges looking good.
George, I like yellow cars too. From ‘71-75 we owned this Shantung Yellow VW 411. It was a beautiful car with Palisander (a rich brown) interior. Our growing family required moving up to a red and white VW Bus in ‘75.

I love yellow on a car too. But the type of car definitely dictates the shade of yellow. Muscles cars in bright yellow are great.
Larger, luxury cruisers, especially convertibles in a soft yellow are breath taking.

I can’t imagine this little speeder in any other color.
The "Mint's" have given us a plethora of yellow and various shades of yellow over the years. Here, in 1:24th scale, are a few. Sorry for all the Corvettes. I, too, like 'sporty cars' in yellow as well:
Thank you Tony for the "plethora of yellow cars". All are gorgeous in their particular shade of yellow.

George, sometimes I think that someone hacked your account ... Lincoln Continental and bunch of Corvettes above + foreign + chopped car?

LOL, no one hacked my account. I just give praise where praise is due. Though the Lincoln's and Corvette's are not my personal cup of tea, I have to be honest when they look nice in the color.
