FROM THE DM EMPLOYEE WHO ACTUALLY ORDERED THE WHITE T-BIRD.
THE "OFFICIAL" STORY:
"THE TAHITIAN BRONZE COUPE WAS ORDERED FIRST AND SOLD WELL. DM HAD SOME OUTSTANDING ORDERS TO FILL. THE MINIMUM ORDER THE CHINESE FACTORY WILLING TO ACCEPT WAS 750 UNITS. SINCE THE FACTORY ALREADY HAD THE WHITE PAINT FOR THE ROOF, THEY DECIDED TO SPLIT THE ORDER IN HALF 50% BRONZE WITH WHITE ROOF AND 50% PURE WHITE. ALTHOUGH NOT NUMBERED, THERE WERE 350+/- WHITE T-BIRDS OUT THERE"

Doubt it will get that price, would have been interesting to see it go to market instead.

Geoff, I know you are a patient man, don't loose hope. Market is so bad, and sellers are committed to make a buck, it is a buyer's market ... I got mine several month ago for $300, it had no box, but it was perfect. Thanks for the story!

Have it, love it. I bought it when it was first issued. DM did a masterful job with their Thunderbird models IMO.
