After World War ll, Buick was in a great position to fill the pent up demand for automobiles as it had already redesigned its line up in 1942 so just a few tweaks were needed for an update. This 1947 Buick Super Model 56C Convertible Sedan could be had for around $2000. The mid range 'Super' survived the demise of the prewar 'Century' and 'Limited' models. All I have to say is its face looks like it could eat you alive!
Actually all those post war Buicks looked like man eaters.
A big, bold, beautiful Buick. Master of the Road. "When better automobiles are built, Buick will build them." In China.
This whole series of models from DM is modelling at it's best.
@georgeschire I got the tan top and tonneau from George Bojaciuk. I forgot where he got it from. Yes, it's non-stock.
George the black top is the one that came with this color. Some on this forum have switched the tops from either the blue or black cars to better suit their taste.

Interesting. But unless I'm losing my mind, I never switched my '47 tops and my yellow '47 has a "black" top. I bought it direct from Danbury Mint.
