Just a weekend on the open road.

Pam and I decided to just take the old Airstream out last weekend and get away for a couple days.

Thought you might enjoy going along with us. Actually, I saw this new commercial for Xarelto about this guy, his wife and their Airstream going to the Grand Canyon so I thought what the hey.

Of course, night time was the most fun. Steaks from an open pit bar-b-q, baked potatoes, Pam's famous salad and perfect company.

Oh well, another Monday has slipped by us and the weekend is only a memory.

Thanks for looking.

Jimbo

P.S. If anyone is interested, I would be willing to trade this car for the DM LE. Airstream. MIB It's 1:12 scale and never displayed.

Jim, I'm interested in your trade offer. I have the Airstream. Second owner. It's been displayed in my office in a sealed case for a number of years. I was thinking of auctioning it off recently. Have not looked it over for a while, but nothing was broken, bent, etc.

If you are interested, drop me an e-mail. gscovilleATwoh.rr.com. Perhaps we can make a deal.

Rick

Cool, I like the first one and the first night one best...

Jim, how did you get the first one so sharp ... Do you manually adjust the camera's settings, or you have some magic macro mode that does it for you? To get this depth of field you need small aperture and lots of sun, or a better than average lens.
I've been unsuccessful to do this with Nikon SLR camera and an average 18-55 zoom lens. Tony mentioned few days ago, he was using 60mm Marco lens. I know some folks are using P&S cameras with great success.

Phil, it reads trade THIS car FOR the Airsteam. You may be right though. I've asked

Jim to e-mail me so we can clear it up.

No Phil, it's the other way around.

I am looking for an Orange and maroon Airstream L.E. I will trade the Vette for the trailer. I will email Richard.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Marlowe, if you look under Car Lists and Reviews, there is a picture of the second edition of the Airstream. Not too detailed, but you can tell by comparing the awning of both.

I've looked and I cannot find an Airstream made by DM. Can you provide a link?

WOW this is the MOST confusing "trade" post Ive seen here LOL

Jim has the Airstream pictured here thus the reason I didnt think he was looking for another one so that is why I thought he WANTED the 1:12 Corvette. After re-reading it now a 4th time I see that he would trade the Corvette for a LE (key word limited edition Airstream) as it came with an orangish looking canopy and different interior. Being I didnt notice LE (the one pictured is the first version) I thought "Why does he want another one? OHHh he must want the Corvette and will trade the Trailer for it. Only now I see it says LE DM Airstream. Minor problem, DM didnt make this model FRANKLIN MINT DID LOLOL SO the trade in reality is this...... (I THINK LOL) If someone has a LIMITED ED. FRANKLIN M. Airstream trailer to trade, they will get a 1:12th scale Corvette pictured. I assume Jim wants BOTH versions of the Airstream. Did I get this right now Jim?????? If so PHeeeeeew

I know I'M confused. Very confused. Do I have this right?

1. Jim posted a photo of the FM Airstream
2. Jim mistakenly said he wanted a DM LE
3. DM doesn't make an Airstream.
4. FM makes two Aistreams, one with a blue canopy and another with an orange canopy.
5. The Orange canopy is the LE
6. Jim wants to trade his 1:12 scale Corvette for the orange canopy, FM LE as DM doesn't have an Airstream.

Cool! I think I have it now! On that note, I absolutely love that Airstream trailer in either blue or orange canopy. Very cool!
:D;):))
