I remember the neighbor's kid across the street, back in the early '70s, had an absolutely pristine 1968 Shelby 500 KR that just made me drool. I went over to talk to him while he was working on it. The one ting I remember about it was how completely stuffed the engine compartment was with that FE 428 Cobra-Jet V8. I don't believe you could throw a dime in there and have it make its way to the ground. He did complain that the engine had to be pulled to access and replace the #8 spark plug. Supposedly, the valve covers read "Cobra Le Mans". celebrating Ford's '66 and '67 wins over Ferrari, but you'd have to dismantle half the components to see it. This rather stunning convertible model by GMP replicates the 1:1 faithfully. The convertible is a rare bird with only 517 made.
An absolutely wonderful model. I would have loved to see a full sized one as you did Rich, back in the day.
One beautiful model, that I am glad to have in my collection.
A true high-powered beauty in both real and model form. Very nice color, too !
One I'd love to have. Gorgeous.
