I recently purchased a 1/18 AUTOart James Bond DB5 9pics on Forum18) and figured I'd retire the venerable 1/24 model. Yes it suffers from old tech dog leg hinges and wire wheels that also shows its age. Beyond that, I have to admit DM put a lot into this model and it is deserving of praise. The only thing that bothered me was the pair of front fender side markers which are an anachronism. They weren't mandatory in the US until 1968 and weren't mandated in the UK until 1989. I've not seen any of the 4 Bond cars with them. As to those Bond cars, 2 were leased to Eon Productions (the Bond franchise company) in 1963. The 1st (Road Car) was stolen and disappeared. The second "Gadget Car" used for special effects. still exists. Two more were made by A-M in 1965 for publicity. The absolute best of them was the 4th car which was restored and rearmed by A-M with much more robust gadgetry and it recently sold for $6.5 million.

Bond. James Bond. I got physically nauseous at what became of the car in "Skyfall".  OMG!

@perrone1 The stunt car was actually a 3-D printout.

Being a kid, a car loving kid, in the Western New York area I didn't see very many foreign makes growing up. But, when I saw "Goldfinger"and that DB5 I thought that car was the most beautiful and sexy looking car I'd ever seen in my life....well .. except for the '63 Corvette 👍😄 And some late '50s Jaguars.
