My FAVORITE 1:24 of the DAY!

No doubt that talking about my '53 Buick's on my "I'VE GOT MAIL" threads influenced which car was going to be my favorite for the day.  And actually though the same car, it is TWO cars today.  

Danbury Mint's 1953 BUICK ESTATE STATION WAGONS in Terrace Green and Imperial Blue are two knockouts that jumped out at me this morning.  I've clarified in the past that I'm not really a station wagon fan, but I couldn't say that after looking at these two incredible models.  

Other than the color of each, the only other difference is the wheel covers.  The green one looks real with the "wire wheels" and the blue one looks rich with its regular "wheel covers" with the "red" rim surrounding them.  

Being that station wagons weren't produced in abundance by any of the mints, these two explosive examples, makes me ask why.
