PICS 1:24 - 1959 CADILLAC IN THE MACKINAW STRAITS
I had a great weekend, family, two parades, fireworks, a classic all-day car show in St. Ignace with special guests Linda Vaughn, Courtney Hansen and Gene Winfield. Added some new models (1:18) to my collection at great prices. Plus I took six of my models for some shots with the Mackinaw Bridge. Here's the 1st one.

Nice pictures John. I wish I had gotten this model when it was available. These rarely come up on the secondary market and when they do they are pretty expensive. Impressive model.

Cool, I was there a year ago on a trip to Mackinac Island. One of the nicest places I've ever been.
The weather was absolutely perfect and so was the island.

Marlowe, I have to hand it to you.
You truly have an artistic eye. Very enjoyable. Pictures are stellar and you're right. It is very beautiful.
I sometimes wonder if we ever really take the time to stop and look at where each other lives. There is so much beauty in this country that sometimes, it's just astounding!

Thank you, Jim. It helped that it was a "Chamber of Commerce" day with absolutely perfect weather.
It wasn't too hot and the Michigan State bird hadn't emerged in full force squadrons yet.
Oh... the Michigan state bird is the mosquito. :D;):))
