I see there is a depression in the hood for the air cleaner. Usually, when that is incorporated...
... into the hood in that fashion, it has a functional hood scoop. However, the Mark II appears ot not that functionality that I can see. Is it there so that it provides clearance for the air cleaner?

PIC..Have the black one and love it. Though I've always thought it to be an odd looking car.
