I collect the cars for mostly nostalgic reasons - loved them in the day - and still today - no other objective

My collection;

Any and all 1:18 diecast, 1950 - 1971, stock or street racer, American cars, 2 door hardtop or convertible [yes, I have others and other scales]just my preference.

I prefer and am satisfied with Highway 61, Ertl Authentics, and SunStar Platinum quality and detail cars. I like AA, Exoto, etc. but will not pay their price.

I try to collect at least one copy of each car available.

Not much "focus". Mostly nostalga and things I like for whatever reason.

I guess a "collection" implies some underlying order, but it's pretty loose in my case. If I like it I just "go for it".

Neither.... I buy what pleases my eye in any era and in 1:24 scale....

I have $10 models and a couple DM models I paid $400 for(after market). Mostly DM, FM, WCPD and a few others.... Of course, I favor a few certain makes...;)

Ditto. Collect cars I had, my Dad, brother or uncle had, or cars I always admired & wish I had.

Pretty much the same for me. I try to have at least 1 from each year of a certain make. Example Ford from the First Quadricycle all the way through 2012. It involves space and you can't get them all in 1 scale thus 1/43rd, 1/32nd, 1/24th, 1/18th and 1/12. plus 1/64th which has turned on lately.

I used to focus on quantity. I do focus only on

Corvette but have shed myself of lots of them an now have what I consider to be a very nice representation of Corvette's history in model car form.

Now, if only the makers would pay some attention to '09, '10, '11 and '12! We need ZR-1s, C6 Grand Sports, Z06s that are special etc etc. I wonder if we'll ever see new Corvette model years!

Whatever appeals to me and nothing that doesn't. Other than one Corvette and a couple of customs from the 50's, all pre 1950. Don't worry or care about the worth of the collection. I just enjoy looking and touching.
