State of the art beauties from back in the day from Paul's Model Art. The "Paul" in PMA is Paul Gunter Lang who with brother Hans Peter inherited the Danhausen Company that, since 1921, had been manufacturing bicycles and scooters and later ventured into 1/43 white metal models. Combined, the brothers were the force behind Minichamps which initially began with a single store that offered mail order sales. The Paul's Model Art name and line up began in the 1990s with Paul's interest in race cars. Dispute over the direction of the company led to Paul opening his own shop, but there never was a complete split of PMA from Minichamps.  PMA did start the trand of moving manufacturing to China as labor costs in Europe began to exceed the quality they wanted at the pricepoint they felt would keep them competitive. These "Silver Arrows", IMHO, are the high watermark of the brand.

They also made these limited editions with base, 300 for each of the 3 models. I have all 3 but a picture of this one only.

@perrone1 Back then, just the wire wheels alone put the models on another level.

What a fabulous series of models Rich. I bought quite a few of these but wish I had got them all. Mid 1950s is still my favourite era.

they are photoetched, but certainly creating the impression of wire wheels was on another level. As far as I know, only DM has done wire wheels in 1/24.
