Someone mention 1:12 models. Being we don’t have a 1:12 forum Here is good as anyplace I have 5
FM 1907 Rolls Royce Ghost, FM Marina blue 67 Corvette. In DM 1930 Cadillac, 1957 Chevy Red, and 64 1/2 Mustang. All five are very special each in their own way! All 3 of the DM models have working up tops too!
The size really does allow so much more detail... have 26 on display!
Phil you'll have to post your 1/12th comments twice on the 1/24th forum.
LOL !
Nice variety. A few years ago I got the DM '55 Bel Air 'stock' 1:16. That's as BIG as I've gotten
Here is the crown jewel of my 1:12's a completed and painted resin preproduction DM model of the '41 Chevy

Very sharp. ...and it's amazing how HEAVY they are.
VERY COOL!!! Proud to own the 1:24 - it's a favorite.
I've got eight 1/16 scale cars from DM.
Wow Chav that is impressive. Makes the 1/24 look really small.
Lololol clever !!!!!
Phil, let me clarify the purpose of this model ...
I don't think this model was in plans for 1:12
Back in the days FM and likely DM were making the initial prototypes in 1:12 from resin, then when the prototype was approved, it was taken apart and each part was used to make 2:1 mold. In that process the initial 1:12 model was being pretty much destroyed, so the vast majority of these do not exist. Apparently for this '41 Chevy a second resin model was made and painted, likely for a photo session so the marketing materials can be completed ahead of production. I won't be surprised if the 1:12 model, I currently own, is the one pictured on the brochures. A clue that this was a photo model is that the hood is removable that gives direct visual access to the engine bay. This model is exactly 2:1 enlargement of the 1:24 production version. This is probably the only one DM 1:12 1941 Chevy in existence.
Thanks for that info Chav.
