Well, looks like I'm in a holding pattern. I sure appreciate John sending me parts, but they won't work. The windshield is too narrow, the rear backlight section is too wide and shaped differently. I was so praying they would work being they were FM '57 Chevy parts. John, if you need anything back, I can send them. Just let me know. I did try to modify the top though. As you can see, the FM '55 Chevy top works, but what I have doesn't have the metal insert for the top, or any glass, so the search is on for an FM '55 complete top, normal, police, or fire chief, I'll plug the hole and repaint, or when I find the glass and metal insert, then I can get back on it. I'm going to paint the top charcoal to match the interior. But until then, here's an idea of what it'll look like. Thanks guys.😊
Well nuts! But it sounds like you're on to the next best answer. As it is, it looks good! Thanks for keeping us posted!
Geno: Keep the parts, no point paying postal service and I was not going to do anything with the 57 anyway. Maybe you can use it for a different project.
Geno: found this on ebay. Maybe you can negotiate, but I thought a decent price for a project car.
Geno, would the top from a 55 Pontiac hardtop work?

Geno had to wait till I located the top before I said anything. But I found a FM police roof from the '55 Chevy. Here are some photos. Removed the rear side glass and post to give it the coupe look. Hope that's ok......................Hollis Cornell
@carsman1958 John, we think alike, lol. I've got that very one on my watchlist.💯👍
@mopar-mr Oh man, Hollis to the rescue, again. That will work buddy. I know you sent me some parts before. Please let me know if you still have my address and what I owe you. Thank you so much Hollis, you know it is certainly appreciated. You made my day.💯👍😊
Gotcha, again thank you, it was worth a shot. I thought for sure the '57 would interchange.😟Geno: Keep the parts, no point paying postal service and I was not going to do anything with the 57 anyway. Maybe you can use it for a different project.
