older now,and slower to anger,Leo reckons he might just tapir off this time
(the part of the tapir was played by Ed B Stevenson....as we do not currently have any tapirs under contract)
Leo struggles to maintain his composure as he scans the low budget movie set and realizes they are using a faux tapir. Considering he just saw several genuine, well paid Malayan tapirs having a smoke outside the studio commissary a half hour ago, it dawns on the aging lion that his once bright star has obviously faded; all he gets offered now are these el cheapo jungle matinee shorts. Leo yearns for the solace of his trailer and an afternoon Perrone martini or two to calm his nerves; where he can once again consider graceful retirement to Africa with his old pal Cheetah.

Dang. It's that part where he says, 'Youse guyz" isn't it?

Yeah exactly Tony. Also the director didn't like his impromptu script change where he says to the safari hunter "You aren't really thinkina going up against a bull elephant with that peashooter are you chump? What...are ya stupid?....for two hundred bucks I'll get you a gat that'll scatter bull bits from here to Hoboken!"

It's the white short-shorts the tapir has on that I find distasteful JayBee; after all this is a family show!
@john-barry I believe that was the original plan for the bayou banquet Jaybee but the grey-blue meat put the guests off so they went with another available option. As he ate his meal the elf had no idea he had only missed being the main course by a hare.
