This CA770 HongQi (Red Flag) limousine was produced with variants from 1966 to 1981 by FAW (First Automotive Works). The chassis was based on the Chrysler Imperial and it was powered first by their own 345 cid V8 and later the Ford 352 Windsor and coupled to a 4 speed automatic. FAW began in 1953 and with Soviet help, began producing trucks for the PLA based on the ZIS-150. Since the 1990s, they have joint ventures with Volkswagen and Toyota.
