What better way to brighten up a dull black 1927 Ford TT extended wheelbase truck than mounting a brilliant yellow Coca-Cola delivery bed with beautiful graphics and trim pinstriping. The TT was born in 1917 to fulfill US Army specs for a military transport vehicle for our entry into WWl. By 1919 about 120,000 were built. The truck suffered from lack of power and speed. In stock configuration, although durable, it was not recommended to exceed 15 mph. With an optional rear axle, it's top speed was 22 mph. Add-ons to the transmission could offer two more gears to the 2=speed transmission to aid in hill climbs. 1927 was the last year of production for the TT as the following year it was replaced by the Model AA. The TT was configured to a multitude of roles during those 10 years in everything from tanker trucks to school buses.
This is an absolutely exquisite model by Danbury Mint that makes a spectacular display with enough cases of Coca-Cola to supply a small town. All the DM truck models were little gems with a load of features that delights collectors.
What a neat old truck.💯😎
I love these "C Cabs". I have a few of them but not this one. Coca-Cool!!
Have it, love it. Great pictures and writeup.
This is one that I have as well. Missing 1 of the Coca Cola trucks from the collection.
