TOGI made some nice Alfa's in 1/23 scale. This is the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport a carbone, also called gasogeno, released by Togi in 1980 and was a modification to run on wood or charcoal when fuel was unavailable. A 1750 ‘competed’ in the 1933 Mille Miglia with this setup but was entered for demonstration only.
It's a little bigger than the 1/24 scale, but it looks nice between the FMs and Danbury's.
There's a very nice selection in the cabinet shot, too.
These Lancias are really great. I had the same problem with bidding a few times. Sometimes patience is not rewarded.... The current Togi website still sells a white and red version.
Great and story. Not every day you can drive your BBQ grill.
All Togis were in a strange 1:23 scale. I co-write a series of articles on them in English. https://www.maronline.org.uk/togi-history-part-i/ ... if anyone wants to trudge through them! 😉
Great research and story. I actually read all the parts you wrote before purchasing 3 Togi 6c1750's recently. Especialy the last parts about the old Gransports and Lancia's. It was very helpfull because I am only familiar with the 1/24 scale models and didn't know anything about Togi. Thanks for the stories.
WOW, there's some great looking models there. ALL of them.💯😎
