I read Andy Capp since I was a teenager. Haven't though, in many years. These days I follow a Great White shark; Sherman. Sherman's Lagoon:

Al Capp passed away in 1979.  My gosh how time flies!

My fav is Pearls Before Swine by Pastis... I always save his comic strip for last....

Not sure how the post a way to get to the cartoons or comic strip but got to check it out, I always save it for last he has rat and pig and neighbor Bob and makes incredible comments on the way political comments are going today.
